We may be the only ones that get a kick out of Owens laughing episodes. But we just had to share this. Owen thinks Brycen is hillarious and really all Brycen has to do is look at him and he will laugh. This all started when we were downstairs playing baseball and Brycen accidently hit Owen's walker with the bat (which is made of foam by the way). Owen laughed like this for about 5 minutes. It was a good time. Sorry it's hard to see the lighting was really bad.

Celebrating a little early . . .

So we celebrated Brycens 7th birthday a little early. Poor guy, we'll probably never celebrate his birthday on the 22nd with it being so close to Christmas and all. He still made out like a bandit with two new Lego Star Wars ship, nerf guns and some candy. He had a blast cruising around the go-cart track with his buddy Jake and jumping around on the inflatable jungle gyms with Jeffrey. He got to decorate his very own cake and wanted to hang his own streamers. And to top it off, he talked Mom into making his "favorite" meal . . . clam chowder, mashed potatoes with gravy and a healthy "veggie tray." He's one lucky kid . . . and we're two lucky parents.

The boys had a great time playing with their cousins during the Thanksgiving holiday. They were pretty bummed out when we had to head out Sunday morning. The boys also enjoyed helping me feed one of the neighbors pets. They had rabbits, birds, fish and a cat. I was pretty nervous that I was going to get pushed to buy a pet for our home after their experience. Fortunately that hasn't come to pass yet. We all ate well, had shelter over our head, warm beds to sleep in, good health and family to hang out with . . . we're truly a blessed family!

Family Pictures @ Freeman Park

These are our newest family pictures taken last week by one of our good friends. She did a great job capturing our boys expressions. We think we have a pretty cute little family.

"Trick or treat"

The boys had a great time trick or treating with their friends. Brycen, our little storm trooper, was especially excited because he got to go door to door with a group of his friends without his parents. Cindy and I on the other hand were a little sad about that one. At least we got to go with "ironman" while I carried a little leopard on my back. After about 6 or 7 houses our "ironman" turned into "tired man" so we headed back to the house and grabbed our neighbores four wheeler and took him around on that . . . I need to get a four wheeler. We all had an fun evening. And yes, our little storm trooper made it home safely.

Carving Pumpkins

For Family Home Evening tonight we carved our pumpkins. Jeffrey insisted on a skeleton, while Brycen drew out yet another diagram of exactly how he wanted his done. We then went and "Booed" our neighbor (we left some treats on their doorstep). Brycen and Jeffs left the treats and only Brycen ran and hid. Jeffrey kind of froze up and we were caught. It was quite the rush :)!!! Dan is in Utah this week. We sure missed ya tonight!!! Thanks for all you do for us!

We're learning to walk . . . kinda

Owen absolutely loves his walker. Mom is a big fan as well. It provides her a little (with emphasis on little) bit more freedom around the house as Owen loves to follow her as well as Jeffrey all over the place. He's a lot of fun

Pumpkin Patch

This is our little cutie pie with about all the pumpkin he could handle.
A successful hunt!
Brycen's upper lip got a little cut up from a bike accident earlier this week. The poor kid bit it pretty hard, but he's recovering nicely:)
Jeffrey was afraid the tractor was going to drive away with him while he posed for this picture. It's hard to believe he has farming in his blood:)
The kids were sooo excited to go to the pumpkin patch this year. Brycen even drew a diagram of the pumpkin he hoped to find there. Owen fell asleep in the car so I guess we'll have to get cute pictures of him with the pumpkins next year. All in all it was a successful trip and a fun memory. Happy Halloween!!!!

Our first Football Game!

Saturday morning was the most nerve racking morning I've experienced since I interviewed for my first "real" job out of college. I woke up at 5:30 a.m. to feed Owen and couldn't get back to bed because my mind was wrapped around our first football game. I wanted to make sure our boys had fun and that the parents couldn't find anything to poke at concerning my coaching style. I believe all the prep work paid off because we won 36 - 12 and seven of my eleven boys scored! This next week I'll make sure the other four boys get a piece of the pie. Preparation is key!! Brycen did an excellent job blocking and playing defense. He's going to play quarterback this Thursday and I believe he'll see a few touchdowns himself!! I couldn't ask for a better player on my team!

Our first snow day!!!!

Holy Crap!! We woke up this morning with two inches of snow on the ground. I'm not sure if we're ready for this . . . long term that is. We sure had fun playing in the snow this morning building a snow man, forts and having snow fights. I sincerely hope we don't have another day like this until Christmas comes knocking in a couple of months.

Family catch up.

I thought I'd post a few random pictures that have been taken that depict what we've been up to. Cindy and I were able to get away to Jackson, WY. for a couple of days to recoup. We got to relax in the spa for a couple of hours eat good food and white water raft down the snake. As you can see she still loves me . . . I can't believe it! Owen, well there he is and that's what he does . . . he grows!! As for Jeffrey he's our protector. He's always dressed for and prepared to thwart off evil. And as for Brycen, he's always playing with his neighbor friend so he's either down in the basement playing or at the neighbors house playing. it's hard to get pictures of him in play mode.

Good morning Uffens family!!!

The boys like a cartoon in the morning to help them wake up. This is at about 6:30am, no wonder they look tired. It's not even light outside yet!!! They're killin' us:)

Still Seattle fans at heart

Jeffrey and his friends all had to have their basketball jerseys on while they pretended to do amazing moves on the tramp.

We're thinking the 2020 Olympics

Jeffreys first day of gymnastics. He was a bit nervous at first, but quickly warmed up.

Holy Michelin baby!!

This picture is courtesy of our friend who couldn't resist taking this picture after she had given him a bath due to a massive blowout. I couldn't believe how many roles he had . . . and he's my own son!
