Halloween

3rd Annual BYU game

For the past 3 years Brycen and Dan have had a boys weekend by attending a BYU game. This year the game left a little to be desired. but the company was good. All my brothers that aren't on missions were able to attend and my brother-in-law Caleb got everyone special treatment to a catered meal complete with chocolate fountains (Brycen's favorite)!!! Dan even ran into his brother Mike. Jeffrey is so excited to go next year.

Summer is finally here!!

We have been living in the back yard. We are so excited the sun has finally arrived!!!

A few snap-shots from the Oregon Coast

Agate Beach in Newport

The boys love the ocean and sand. Jeffrey did so many (sand murals), Owen just loved rolling in it, eating it, and throwing it, Brycen spent most of his time chasing the waves.

Day at the Lake

This is one of three lakes in the camp ground. The kids had fun catching salamander-looking things, swimming, and we rented a paddle boat one day to explore the far banks. Brycen was mad that Dad forgot the fishing poles. Opps!!

Dune buggie adventure

Because Owen is still getting the hang of walking, he got a few bumps and bruises along the way. He slept most of the dune buggie ride, but we were excited that he could come along.

Brycen and Jeffrey loved the ride. Every time we would go down a big dune they would raise their hands in the air and scream. It was very brave:)

Oregon Coast Trip 2009

We got to hike Heceta Head Lighthouse. The scenery was amazing. Everything is so green. It was a little chilly that day, but we still had a blast.

"For the Beauty of the Earth"

On Saturday we decided to drop everything and take the kids up "R" mountain (as it is known to Ricks College alumni). I wasn't prepared for how beautiful the hike was. The views were absolutely breath-taking. There were caves, panoramic views--that the pictures can't do justice to, and the weather was fantastic. The boys did very well considering how steep the first part of the hike was. Dan and I even struggled a little to keep our footing. It's a must see for anyone who ventures into our neck of the woods.

An afternoon at Newport beach...

Mickey's house

Our trip to Disneyland was so magical. The boys had a great time. Jeffrey was so brave and couldn't get enough of the roller coasters. Brycen was a little more reserved, but went on them all anyways, so he wouldn't be out done by his little brother. Owen was a trooper and just enjoyed the ride. Dan and Uncle Mike enjoyed the rides the very most. They were able to take a few hours one evening after the kids went down for the night and bust out as many rollercoasters as time would allow. We had a blast spending the time with Mike, Rachel and girls. We love you guys!!!

Happy Birthday Danny!!!!

A big candle for every decade plus one.

This was the best picture we got of Dan on his big day. Brycen was our photogragher:)

Owen just waiting for his piece of cake. He loves food if you can't tell!

When Jeffrey's not drawing superheros, he's playing superheros here are a few of his favorite theme songs.

Jeffrey has a passion for drawing and coloring. I just had to capture his cute little expression on camera. Sometimes we're even lucky enough to get sound effects while he draws and colors his superheros:)

We may be the only ones that get a kick out of Owens laughing episodes. But we just had to share this. Owen thinks Brycen is hillarious and really all Brycen has to do is look at him and he will laugh. This all started when we were downstairs playing baseball and Brycen accidently hit Owen's walker with the bat (which is made of foam by the way). Owen laughed like this for about 5 minutes. It was a good time. Sorry it's hard to see the lighting was really bad.

Celebrating a little early . . .

So we celebrated Brycens 7th birthday a little early. Poor guy, we'll probably never celebrate his birthday on the 22nd with it being so close to Christmas and all. He still made out like a bandit with two new Lego Star Wars ship, nerf guns and some candy. He had a blast cruising around the go-cart track with his buddy Jake and jumping around on the inflatable jungle gyms with Jeffrey. He got to decorate his very own cake and wanted to hang his own streamers. And to top it off, he talked Mom into making his "favorite" meal . . . clam chowder, mashed potatoes with gravy and a healthy "veggie tray." He's one lucky kid . . . and we're two lucky parents.
